Problem - Master Bedroom, Glen Ridge, NJ

When the clients moved back to the US in 1998, I began working with them. The first "before" picture is the previous owner's room. The 2nd "before" is my first design combining furniture the clients brought with them from London with English roses wallpaper. After 10 years, they were ready for a new look.

Solution - Master Bedroom, Glen Ridge, NJ

Warm, neutral wool carpet and wallcovering create a soothing background for deep reds and burnt oranges to pop. The West Indies style mahogany dresser, night table and bed add a touch of the exotic. The custom TV and clothing armoire has 5 layers of hand rubbed paint. The blackout lining on the drapes provides a relaxing, dark sleeping environment, while wood blinds provide privacy and glare control during the day. A sparkly sheer fabric is placed in front of the main drapery fabric instead of behind.
