Problem:

This small dining room in N. Caldwell, NJ needed finishing. Table and chairs are too bulky for the space.

Solution:

Small scale table and chairs are a good proportion for the room. Leopard area rug warms up the space and adds some pizzaz. Art by local artists Betsy Meyer Donadio, Karen Nielsen-Fried and Hilary Shank-Kuhl. Trashed & rescued chandelier customized and made fabulous with red glass bead swags, beaded tassels and bells. Tall red case displays small art, accessories and houses the sound system equipment. The stationary drapery panels have brush fringe on the leading edge and are hung from decorative knobs. The tortoise window shades provide privacy from neighbors while letting in light. Colors of ocher, red and black connect with the adjacent living room.
