"Cooking and eating in our renovated kitchen is a pleasure! Friends and family agree. We owe a great deal to Tracey's design, her unerring eye for color, texture, shape, and light, and her skill in solving problems as they arise, often one step ahead of them.
Thank you!"

Problem - Montclair kitchen:
The kitchen had inadequate counter and storage space. The separate
breakfast nook was cramped. The appliances were ancient. The
refrigerator was in the hall by the back door.

Solution - Montclair kitchen:
An addition was built to bump out the breakfast nook 5' to bring it
even with the back and side of the house. New maple cabinets line
two sides of an "L". The range was relocated to the exterior wall
that overlooks the neighbor's driveway. Windows were removed from
that side of the house to provide space for wall cabinets and to
provide privacy between the homeowner and their neighbors. The
neighbors were so happy with the new plan they wrote a letter of
support to the town for the variance application. The window
overlooking the back garden was enlarged with a new energy efficient
one. Other environmentally friendly design features include recycled
denim insulation in the walls, a bamboo floor, energy saving LED
undercabinet lighting, Energy Star appliances, and an antique table.
