Problem - Bedroom, Montclair, NJ

This small bedroom had possibilities and needed its charm to be uncovered.

Solution - Bedroom, Montclair, NJ

The primary design decision was placing the bed in the alcove to create a cozy, dreamy private space and to open up the rest of the room for playing on the floor. The blue and yellow floral wallpaper set the cheery tone and color palette for mixing pillow & window fabrics and the diamond patterned wool area rug for a room that is child friendly but not childish. A yellow Swedish dresser, oval mirror and mirror backed wall sconces complete the look. After the daughter moved out of the room, this became popular with the family's overnight guests.
